Sales Representative - remote work from home

You are not responsible for generating your own leads! Each and every lead you receive will be someone actively responding to our marketing messages, which means majority of the work has been done for you! The Sales Representative is part of our Follow-Up Team and will place outbound calls to a warm lead who has purchased a new vehicle and recently talked to a member of our inbound team. The customer requested to be called at a future date and the Sales Representative will do so. The goal is to close the sale by explaining the value and benefits of an extended service contract as well as providing information regarding recommended coverage option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make 50-100 outbound follow up calls daily
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to meet and maintain sales productivity and quality expectations as outlined by the department
  • Service incoming calls from customers regarding service contract inquiries
  • Ability to explain the value and benefits of a service contract over the phone
  • Provide detailed information regarding recommended coverage option
  • Utilize databases to initiate sales process
  • Strictly adhere to department policies, processes and procedures
  • Code call outcomes in database provided
  • Participate actively in quality and training initiatives
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions; making recommendations to management
  • Persuasion the ability to convince interested customers that the product is right for them
  • Ability to WOW the customer throughout the phone calls
  • All other duties assigned

Work at Home Requirements

  • Windows PC Required, MAC is not allowed
  • Windows 8.1 or higher
  • 4GB of RAM on your PC
  • High speed wired Ethernet connection; WiFi is not allowed
  • An upload speed of 1.8 Mbps; Download speed of 16 Mbps
  • 2 monitors or 1 monitor that is at least 32"
  • Webcam required
  • A quiet work-at-home environment free of interruption and distraction

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Detailed Oriented
  • Strong Reliability
  • Customer follow-up skills (call back on time, review account to understand the approach)
  • Minimum of two to three years of customer service and sales experience
  • Must have documented successful track record in commission based sales
  • Must have ability to close sales with the customer
  • Expected to sell 10-40 contracts per week (1-2 per day) during initial ramp up period
  • Typing Skills (35-45 WPM)
  • PC literacy (Microsoft Excel) basic skills required and some knowledge of Outlook
  • Closing ability and proven track record of displaying the skills and aptitude to close sales conversations

Exemplary customer service skills that include:

  • Attentiveness the ability to really listen. This is critical to understand what the customers' needs are so that you can meet and exceed them
  • Customer focused. Recognize that the customer experience is crucial to the sales process. The goal is to WOW the customer throughout the phone call
  • Persuasion. Convince interested customers that the product is right for them. A service contract is a great value; it is vital to articulate those benefits to every customer with very clear communication
  • Strong sales skills that include:
  • Self-confidence. Goal-oriented, believing in your skills understanding that it builds trust as you interact with customers
  • Closing ability. Close the conversation with confirmed satisfaction including asking for the sale
  • Follow-Up. Show customers you are willing to continue to work with them until they are completely satisfied

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
