Scheduling Coordinator

Summary

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling approved mortgage loans for closing. The Scheduling Coordinator will be able to resolve customer questions or concerns that may occur at any point of the process, including loan calculations, cash to close and fee details.

Essential Job Functions may include:

  • Performs outbound calls to borrowers to coordinate and schedule closing dates and times, verifying that all required parties will be present and prepared.
  • Answers any inbound return calls from borrowers and coordinates and schedule closing dates and times.
  • Offers customer support at various stages of the loan process as it pertains to loan closing.
  • Reviews payment information with borrower.
  • Reviews Cash to close needed from Borrower at closing.
  • Verifies benefit sold is maintained.
  • Verifies an acknowledged Closing Disclosure for all parties is obtained.
  • Schedules appropriately and compliantly based on Early Close Date.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a customer service or call center position.
  • Experience in the mortgage, banking or title industries is a major plus, but not required.
  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Knowledge of credit reports and some knowledge of FHA/VA streamline guidelines is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team in a high-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office skills required.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
